El Diario Montanes announces the first prize for the best web sites in Cantabria
Eldiariomontanes.es Web Awards 2008 is a Eldiariomontanes.es contest, which aims to promote the Internet and recognize the quality of work and effort of those that develop activities through this medium.
The contest is divided into two phases. In the first, until the end of October, users, institutions and companies can register their www.premioswebcantabria.com Web portal, in each of the categories in which to participate.
In total, there are four competition categories: best corporate Web, corporate Web better, better leisure and entertainment Web and more personal Web (blogs) / association. In addition, also distinguish the best advertising campaign Internet and Internet awarded the prize for the best website, by popular vote.
Subsequently, a jury composed of experts on new technologies, approve the application if the site complies with the rules of the competition. And after the deadline for submission of entries, the jury shall meet and decide which of the finalists will be registered.
Thus, five finalists will be chosen by category, so there will be a total of twenty candidates. From that moment, in early November, the finalists will be published on the Web www.premioswebcantabria.com, so that Internet users could vote in the 20 selected to choose the best Web by popular vote.
Finally, in mid-December, there will be a big party at the Palais des Expositions de Santander, where he will meet the winners of each category, chosen by the same jury. Among all Internet users will be drawn involving a laptop.

a. - Having your own domain (a better than personal Web can be a Blog).
b. - Being an institution, agency, corporation, association or individual registered and located, resident or born in the Cantabrian community.
